A good movie, according to me, is one that can generate empathy within me. A good movie makes me feel what the character feels. Such a movie is Stand by Me. Four 12-year-old friends set out on an adventure without knowing what awaits them ahead. It reminded me of my childhood days, when I used to go out daily with some Arunachali friends whom I have long forgotten, but the feeling of the fun we had remains with me forever. Even if the movie is set in a different place, a different culture, and even a different time (it’s a 1986 movie), I was still able to relate to it. That’s the beauty of a good movie.
